Planning

Contingency cover is a vital aspect of our service. We ensure that we have effective communication and staffing resources to provide the contracted service to our clients at all times despite unforeseen events or staffing absenteeism. Full contingency planning will be confirmed and copies of plans supplied to the client contact.

The office and mobile contact numbers are supplied to each client contact for the following levels of Bayleaf management and supervision for their contract. This will include senior management support at our head office. In addition full contingency planning will be confirmed and copies of plans supplied to the client contact.

Much of the planning will focus on the following:

  • Emergencies – We will have a mobile team to respond to urgent requirements, 7 days per week, 24 hours / day
  • Resourcing – To ensure that staffing levels are maintained at required levels to ensure optimum standards

It is our policy for all staff to inform their immediate managers at least 2 hours in advance of any unforeseen matter preventing them from attending their cleaning shift obligation. This will allow for the service to be covered in one of the following ways:

  • Through paid overtime for site personnel who are requested to work additional hours
  • Through our team of standby / mobile staff
  • By the recruitment of cover / replacement staff where the absenteeism is sustained
  • By employing a site team with excess members to that required on a daily basist required levels to ensure optimum standards
